Ferrara – Gambulaga – Pomposa – Comacchio
5 days – 4 nights– 3 days bike tour
Difficulty level: Easy, family friendly.
This tour will take you to the discovery of Ferrara and its territory, Cycling from Ferrara towards the sea, you will discover the Delizie Estensi of Belriguardo and Verginese, until you reach Pomposa, we recommend to visit the ancient Pomposa Abbey and give yourself a short break for a wine tasting together with typical products in the nearby Corte Madonnina (Winery). Proceeding to Comacchio you will admire the Oasis of Canneviè, then you will cycle in the pinewood of Volano, where you can have the pleasure of meeting the deer and the fallow deer who live in freedom in the pinewood, until you reach Comacchio, well-known as the little Venice. You will then cycle to discover the Lagoon of Comacchio, where you can admire the pink flamingos that live numerous in the lagoon. You can also visit the wonderful Saline (salt-work), restored to their splendour by the CADF. (Booking required). Return back to Ferrara by bus.
